To be fair, NYC got like 5 inches of snow last winter... and Boston still might get screwed over.
It’s the little things

Hoping we can get lucky down this way tomorrow night and pick up an inch or two. Next couple model runs will be telling. As for Tuesday, I could see a couple areas that squeeze out 1-3 if you get under what will likely be a couple narrow swaths of meaningful snow. It’ll be cold enough at least which is more than we can say for the last couple years.

What do the ensembles look like for Tuesday night around St Louis? That’s probably our best chance at any snow for a while.

What do the ensembles look like for Tuesday night around St Louis? That’s probably our best chance at any snow for a while. The good news is that most euro ensembles had snow between now and Wednesday. The bad news is that almost all of them were less than a half inch

00z nam is comical for Tuesday night/Wednesday.
Blows it up as soon as it crosses the Mississippi

I actually think st.louis area is really in play for something substantial tuesday night. It can easily blow up an hour or 2 earlier

As the disco says, there's a lot of dry air and zero gulf moisture for midweek. I wouldn't expect much of anything. We have a hard time getting anything when there is enough moisture lol.

I'm really hoping we get a decent accumulation of snow before the end of the yr. That's all I ever want for Christmas.

I feel that its going to be very tough this winter with the split flow. I do feel the fast jet stream may lead to a very active severe weather season starting in February.

I think it’s one of those storms if you see a 1/2” metro to maybe 1” over on the Illinois side south and East it would be a win. I think we definitely could see our first flakes but probably will not amount to much if it does materialize

Honestly the biggest reason I am for a super quiet winter snow wise is becase ov covid. I want people to spend time with families not have any travel issues going out and getting a vaccine, and keep ow driver safe and out of the element. For once I just am rooting for a boring winter necause face it 2020 has been enough. Lets keep roads safe all winter and have one less thing to worry about.
