Heat is the story for sure next week... but I have concerns about affects of ridge running MCSs Wed, Thu and Friday. Ring of Fire is too close for comfort...and effects of MCS train are not going to be handled well by ensemble means. Can't follow those things blindly anymore than you can any other model product.

Any hope for that river runner that looks like it is making a right turn?

My forecast says 30% chance of storms after 3pm.....is that my chance of storms scooting off to the east just north of me???😫😫 We have been pacing ourselves in the garden. Yesterday was rather warm. I guess the last 18 years of working either outside or in a power house has helped me tolerate the heat a little. After preserving (new pickle recipe) numerous (over 100) cucumbers the last few days there is more to harvest. Tomatoes practically refuse to turn red? We have had a couple dozen, but hundreds remain green on the plants.🤔🤔🤔🤔 Any comment/info from the gardeners in the group? A nice, not flooding, rain would be a blessing here, 7 miles west of De Soto.

1.31" here since it started. We've had more rain in July this year than April, May, and June all combined.

Models have trended back towards more mid-level ridging developing across the region this coming week, but have to think models aren't picking up well on ridge-running complexes at this range. 700mb temps do get pretty toasty by mid-week though, so it may be tough to maintain those into the region. Definitely potential for more headline heat with HIs topping 100*. Next weekend looks unsettled with several waves dropping down the NW flow and a wavy boundary nearby.
Right now, a lovely 80* dewpoint after this morning's rain...soup!

.53" here. Storm woke me at 4:20 this morning. Yesterday H.I. hit 109°! The wife, niece and I started trimming trees for the big wedding to be held here in October. We started at 6 and we were all drenched and wiped out by 10 am! The niece thought our little farm would be the perfect spot for her wedding. I am honored that she wants to have it here, but it sure is alot of work!

I figured to 'up my chances' of rain by starting the bbq'er....no such luck. This is one of the best winter weather radar impersonations I have ever seen. Like hitting a brick wall...

I looks like I had a cell just west of me coming in and it's falling apart. It might have made it as far east as Fletcher, but I'm not sure

Tokyo is in trouble with mid to upper 90s highs and dews in the mid 70s. A lot of the athletes are having trouble with it. Interesting decision to have the olympics there in their hottest month.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are going to be hot, but probably below Excessive Heat Warning criteria. If we can make it through July without an EHW then there is chance we can make it through the whole summer as well. Let's hope...

Feel like I just plowed the north 40. The moles have taken over sections of the front and back yard. Between the heat, humidity and "plowing" I am absolutely whooped. Enjoy your day.

Moisture pooling ahead of the front Thursday is going to pump up the HI but there should be a decent breeze unlike today. I'd say today may feel worse than tomorrow.
