Is that stuff reaching the ground showing up on radar? Are you referring to the little batch just know crossing the river at Warren and Franklin county? If so then yea it’s drizzle making it to the ground. Yep. Thanks.

Chris when do you expect the freezing drizzle to develop area wide, it seems like it’s start now kind of coming in little light waves?

What drizzle/mist fell earlier has stopped and dried off with the wind. Wasn’t much precip associated with it but it has dried off the elevated patio table.

The wind is so strong it may keep things from getting too bad as it evaporates almost instantly

One thing I just noticed the HRRR and new NAM s are quite a bit drier with the precipitation amounts this morning so that’s a good thing for less ice

Was 22⁰ when I woke up at 630. Now up to 26⁰ at 8 AM. Won't take long to get above freezing at this rate.

Why is the gas fireplace on your weather deck at the station black? It is blacker every day.

Im sure all pf us could careless if today happens or night as we all dont want freezing drizzle. One thing is for sure there is no need to salt the roads the rest of the year, home depot and all places with parking lots in st.peters have been salted or they are out salting now, as well as the city salted out streets. I appreciate everyone and all these landscape companies being cautious but good lord, they salted our non event on Thursday, and now they are salting out potential non event today. I would of thought what was down was enough. When we get rain tonight all this salt cant be good for our waterways. As our creeks are going to turn into the dead sea lol

Last nights GEFS looked decent towards next weekend with an amplification just to our west and energy coming through the S stream but it looks marginal. Gonna be hard to get too excited about much until it's happening at this rate.
It does look awfully cold towards mid-month and beyond with hints of a -EPO still being shown.

Looks like the nam did nam things again, so no surprise there.
Still see plenty to be interested in heading into MLK weekend and really for the 2nd half of January.

AJD when you have a forecast of 60% or higher of snow the other day and 70% chance of freezing drizzle it’s your job as a snow Contractor’ to be proactive and not reactive. It’s a hard business, your carrying the slip and fall liability. I’m agree it’s been a rough couple of storms for snow Contractors and yes there’s a lot of salt down .

Just had light shower with some drizzle preceding it. Overall only lasted 5-7 minutes total. Drizzle tried to glaze up on patio table but droplets never did. I assume they are warming quicker then we thought they would.
