Glen’s graphic with that hole of nothing over St Louis made me laugh and shake my head. It was truly ugly. It was either laugh or cry. Looked like we was using the 18z GFS snow map. Interesting choice

18z euro is pretty dry, but good for 1-3 inches or so in the metro.

The 18Z GFS is almost perfect. We just need that hole to slide west for it it be realistic.

18z GEFS is starting to look encouraging. Mean snow (assuming 10:1 ratios) is up to almost 4"

18z euro is pretty dry, but good for 1-3 inches or so in the metro. is it all west? North… It kind of dries out. It only goes out to 90 hours, so there could still be a pivot, but just looks weaker/drier. Certainly a possibility we have seen across the ensembles.

With it being such a dynamic system with so many moving pieces, any snow “holes” observed on models should be taken only as entertainment until we get another 48 hours or so closer.

Hour 72 and the nam looks ready to go off.
Edit: somehow it has the WAA go around STL lol, but it looks ready to swing through a trowel like structure by the end of the run.

NAM not looking so hot, through its 84 hour (6am Saturday) run no snow in the metro basically it’s creating the snow hole over us

Hour 72 and the nam looks ready to go off Might just be the NAM doing NAM things but it tucks the energy back pretty far west that run. That might up the kaboom potential if it’s onto something

NAM not looking so hot, through its 84 hour (6am Saturday) run no snow in the metro basically it’s creating the snow hole over us Closed 500mb, 700mb, and 850mb vorts nearly stacked in southwest Missouri. That thing would crush the metro if it went past hour 84 in my opinion

ICON looks really good with how it evolves the upper level energy Swings a nice compact 500mb low near our wheelhouse that kicks off a TROWAL over the area

Gfs is trending north with the big snows, and still gives metro near 1 inch
