Intense stuff went south of me. Heard some thunder in the distance.
However did manage to pick up about 30-40min of moderate to light rain.

Same here...just a light, soaking shower Those storms over the Metro blew up quick along the front! Seems like weak lapse rates kept the severe risk in check though. |

My dad is a train driver at the zoo. They had to evacuate the train shed. He says there are several inches of water. He also said he is seeing pictures of cars floating in the parking lot where his car is parked.

Congrats to Mr. CVKING.
I just checked the rain gauge...1.063" since noon. After adding the previous 3 days of .20" gives me 1.263" 7 miles west of De Soto. It did not look like the pond raised any. Had to of raised at least 1" but I was hopeful for more with added runoff.

Jokes and all this could not have happened at a worse time. Right as rush hour started. One of the worst drives of my life only beat by my drive to work Tuesday Morning. I'm starting to have terrible anxiety that the next storm is going to hit right when i'm going/leaving work again.

Lambert only .27 today lol No kidding...I kept trying to find obs from the airport but couldn't find any (looking in storm reports) but all around there had up to and over 2 inches. I just figured they busted the record for sure. That puts the deficit for the record close to .5" from my math. |
