I just went into town and my weather station has 1.98 so that 2.8 that I heard might not be accurate……still a lot of rain this morning

meh... 0.25 here in chesterfield. I gladly would have accepted more...but I will take it.
I think this was the main event of the day and the shortwave/mcv will sweep risk of rain south and east... with subsidence tucking in behind to limit any redevelopment this afternoon/eve.

At my farm/house, east of KFAM, calling it a trace is almost a stretch. Locations literally in all directions and not that many miles of me cashed in, tough pill to swallow when you depend on the ground you use.

Looks like storms earlier shoved the effective boundary south...it had looked like it was lifting north slowly until they got going along it. Definitely not looking great for any significant redevelopment now. That stratoform hit a brick wall at the river and we've got nothing but sprinkles and a light shower or two over here so far.

Far north St. Peters got maybe .1 to .2 inches, if that. Ground is still dry and hard.

Colin has to be about the most meager looking TS I've ever seen...it barely has any radar presentation besides a broken swirl of showers and it has very little overcast on satellite. Strange looking storm and odd that they even bothered naming it before coming ashore.

0.00" in Brighton
Sure glad we lucked out with that little storm last night because today has been a total bust here.

Hey all... have an odd request. A friend of mine is doing a masters class in marketing and needs to interview a person who sells ads (just six questions). Being a holiday, my contacts at work are off the grid. Any chance any of you are in ad sales and could help?
Thanks!

Tropical Storm Colin came and went seemingly out of nowhere. Anyway, heat is going to the focus for St. Louis this week. NBM is saying 100+ on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Excessive Heat Warning. As of right now this puts our EHW days count up to 7. We cannot eliminate the possibility that this gets extended through Thursday though.

How exciting...I'm included in the latest Excessive Heat Warning. I am so glad we got the rain that we did on Saturday. On a side note, I was kind of surprised to see we used 13.5% LESS electricity this cycle compared to last year. And this year averaged 3* warmer. Hmmmmm, could it be the thermo set at 76-77* contributed to that. Pretty sure it was set there last year. 76* is almost cold when you walk in soaking wet from being outside. Happy 4th of July again. Be safe.

Wow, $500, that is a huge difference. our budget billing is $161. Only 1400 sqft butthat includes a full finished basement. I am very happy with how efficient this house appears to be. We are always rated way more efficient than most homes our size. Edit: Just curious, are those newer or older homes?

So, what is the highest number of excessive heat warning days STL has seen in one summer? Seems like we have had a lot so far, for only being the real beginning of summer and heat.

My windows were updated in 1999. Air conditioner is ten years old, and its very well insulated. My neighbor doesn't understand how the houses can be so different. 1. Temperature 2. Insulation 3. Efficiency.

Small chance we could see some stuff pop up as we head into afternoon. I think it will be stationary so you have to get lucky and get underneath one at onset.

Models really backed off on the FROPA Thursday which adds another day of potentially intense heat. This is going to be a long summer if this pattern doesn't break down soon.
Hopefully we can catch an OFB this week and get some storms going...

Nothing like walking outside and not being able to breathe due to the humidity. It's gross. Last extreme heat wave it was a little bit dryer. Even the morning walk at 0630 sucked.
