anyone see that honker of storm on the euro at 198 hr? That would possibly be a big severe/tornado producer around here while IA gets 2 ft of blizzard, lol. I prefer the 12z gem during the same timeframe. Would start getting interesting. 12z gfs actually has a low end hurricane hitting Florida around them too, so we should have something to talk about.

Sorry Chris, I noticed several models have 55kt plus winds not far off the surface which would mix down very efficiently in a strong line of showers in my opinion. such as the 925 mb winds on gfs and euro respectively show 47kt to 57kt winds between 03z and 12z moving through the area that momentum transfer would be very easy to reach the surface in stronger showers plus the forward momentum as well of the squall makes me feel 60 to 70 mph gust are attainable Don't be sorry. I'm trying to help you out with making a better argument. People will give you more credibility if you say something besides "that's just what I'm seeing" Otherwise it looks like you are just making it up. That info backs up your statement. Good work!

My wife is home on vacation this week and decided the house was too warm and turned on the a/c. In fairness she was sweeping the leaves out of the garage and the wind would blow them back in. So she was fighting a losing battle.

Big tornado on the ground right now NE of Bagwell TX. For some reason there’s no warning for the OK county it’s about to go into. Yikes.

HRRR has the low dropping about 15mb over the next 12 hours... so a semi-bomb. Winds should start picking up.

Reed Timmer apparently left his drone at a gas station which was then hit by the tornado. Hopefully they find it, could be some real interesting video!

Looks like another beast heading into Naples TX now. That looks like a big one. That was very likely a historic tornado outbreak that just happened across parts of the southern US. Two Tornado emergencies and likely a few violent tornadoes.

Power out in Northern Wildwood since just after 8pm. Due to a car accident though... the winds may had a factor too.

I was just at my son's house in Foristell. He works for Ameren. In the time I was there, the number of outages is manageable...it did grow from 400 to about 1500 but the winds have died down with the arrival of the light rain. So far, weather is cooperating. Guessing our highest winds will come with the front moving through.

Not totally sure, but that had to be case most likely. I heard sirens that were on Wildhorse Creek Road. Edit: I was just told a tree went down on the power lines. No car involved.

When did the new meteorologist Jordan start on Fox 2? Jordan is one of our new reporters who has done some fill-in weather in the past. He is not a meteorologist but does know some weather. He is helping plug in some schedule gaps right now while Jaime is out on maternity leave. He is a solid communicator and does a nice job. I have been working with him for the past several weeks to help him with our graphics system and local weather nuances. Weather will definitely not be his regular gig... but it's nice to have a extra utility player on the depth chart!
