Looks like Hendersonville took direct hit. Still on the ground, Gallatin next.

Sad videos on Tiktok out of Tn.
Radarscope forum is bickering because pds warnings were coming across as emergencies on the app. That seems like a very trivial difference in tags that could only confuse people. I wasn't even aware of a difference or hierarchy to warnings. I thought they were interchangeable

Probably the craziest tornado video I have ever seen

I was just about to post about this. Incredible video. I'm wondering if that flash and ball of fire is from the tornado hitting a large transformer in a substation?

Models look absolutely atrocious...basically no precip for the next 10 days.
Is it spring yet?

The models are flat out depressing…… also they are debating this morning with Reed Timmer if you can actually blow up a tornado after the video last night lol

If that persistent trof in the NE Pacific continues to be a mainstay, it's going to be a very long snowless and mild winter. Long range ensembles do show an amplification across the Central US towards Christmas, but it's questionable how much if any cold air will be available.

But let's not give Reed any wild ideas...lol

The will likely be areas in the upper Midwest and plains that get frequent white Christmases that will be totally snow free. Large areas. Like most of the country lol

Just got home from 50 miles NW of Sioux Falls, SD. Snowless landscape with the exception of a light dusting in southern MN yesterday. Not enough to even slow down traffic on I-90.

Yea, this has to be historically warm for the continent. Geez. Is the cold locked up on the other side or is it just not there?

Might have to break out the lawn mower in January if it gets warm and stays warm.

Through mid January 2021 Lambert had only 0.3" of snow. Looks like we may unfortunately make a run for that this season. We all know what happened February of 2021 though so let's hope this is a strong backloaded winter.

So this winter is already starting to look like a bust? It’s still technically Fall. meteorology defines winter as DEC, JAN, FEB. Astronomy defines winter as Dec 21-Mar 21.
