Not much be excited about with this weeks pattern... and that is not a bad thing. Rain chances look to be limited to mainly the occasional nusiance shower or thundershower.. mainly in the afternoons... but I wouldn't be shocked to see some disorganized light rain showers linger into the nights and early mornings. It will get noticeably more humid... which has already started. Still, for the end of July, this isn't bad at all.

I agree Chris to be stuck in the 80s for the forseable future humid or not this is beautiful.
If we can push this another couple weeks we will just coast through the dog days of summer with ease.

Quite a bit of CU development around the mid-level low out there...going to be some scattered showers and a few storms around today and tomorrow for sure. We just had a light shower out here in Brighton.

Saw Twisters last night in IMAX
I’d give it an 8/10
Solid and fun movie
It’s nails some of the parts of chaser culture to a tee

Any numbers from that flood advisory over st Charles? I had to zoom in super tight on radar to even see the rainfall

Any numbers from that flood advisory over st Charles? I had to zoom in super tight on radar to even see the rainfall I had 0.20 in Chesterfield. But close to 1 inch in less than an hour just across the Missouri River. The very definition of spot storm.

These showers are impossibly small but nearly stationary and putting down good rainfall rates. We just picked up a quick tenth in Brighton.

Drove through a couple miles of heavy rain on 15 in estl. Dried out before we got home. Half inch in estl, 3 miles east nothing then more rain to east by you.

Adj, what are you using to measure rainfall? I ask because I have two weather stations at home right now, a Tempest and AcuRite. There are times in intense rainfall that the two can be as much as 1/2 inch off from each other. Tempest has a feature that helps calibrate it's rainfall called nearcast because it's rainfall totals can be wildly off. The AcuRite seems to do a good job most of the time, but even it has popped a few totals that I questioned based on surrounding reports... namely nearby SUS. My point being, we all need to do some quality control at times. Getting a proper COCORAHS rain gauge would be a good way to help calibrate. That is something I plan to do at some point.

I'm still trying to source an 8" gauge...they aren't easy to find and always expensive.
