2 years ago I had 7.72 inches of rain. Today marks 9 days since I last got rain. We got that tenth the other day but it didn't do much for the soil moisture...it's gotten very dry again IMBY and I'm back to watering multiple times a week. That tenth did top off the rain barrel at least.

I Can already hear the evening insects outside. Can definitely tell it’s getting darker earlier now. Can anyone feel the Summer starting winding down.

Yeah I have noticed it's getting dark sooner now. As for Summer winding down I don't think so...the summer ridge of death is coming back and it's going to feel brutal outside with the heat and humidity! Maybe in 4 weeks we can have the conversation of summer winding down.

I’d imagine the farmers are having an overall very good growing season.

Agreed with the above statement. This has been a prolonged wet summer it seems.

Models show the northern California wildfire smoke encroaching into our region on Tuesday. The smoke will be elevated so I don't think it will contribute to air quality problems, but it will washout the sky and possibly suppress our daily highs by maybe 1 F.

Models are hinting that a ridge running complex could develop on Tuesday and track through the NE half of the CWA or so...that could help to keep temps down a tick or two depending on timing. Mid-level temps look pretty toasty though, so it may struggle to track this far S/W.

I am glad I was able to mow. Son, home from the Navy, was hanging out with his friends today. It will be weird to watch him leave Friday. Being on this side of it is humbling.

We had quite a bit of Thunder around us a little bit of rain got everything wet and had puddles but it wasn't very much. Looking at the radar storm total, it could just as well have been a picture perfect snowfall storm total for the area.🤪🤪

Am I the only one suffering through another night of Spectrum outages? I gave up on spectrum last year for att fiber. Reliability has been much better and I never have to reset the equipment.

Am I the only one suffering through another night of Spectrum outages? I gave up on spectrum last year for att fiber. Reliability has been much better and I never have to reset the equipment. Same here. Fought with Spectrum for a year with tons of outages that was effecting my work. Had them come out 8 times and finally caught an honest tech who said our area has old copper and management isn’t going to do anything about it. It was also causing problems for schools, Maplewood city hall/police/fire and businesses. As soon as ATT Fiber came in I got it. I’ve only had two outages and both were overnight for less than 2 minutes.

Working towards getting rid of Charter. Too frequent price increases. I have ATT fiber installed. But after 25 years of having Charter email trying to get that changed everywhere I have it is a complicated process. Though it should cut down on spam emails when I drop it.
