Visually it just looks like there's a slight tint to the sky that's an dark red but nothing defined.

May spoiled us down here. That was 45 minutes to an hour straight of colors dancing across the sky. Chris—Canada’s were good, but the videos out of Norway are amazing! I think it should be a MTW field trip.

I've seen a few good shows in Canada, that stretch around 9:30 with all the red was right up there with them! Incredible!  |

Friends as far south as Alabama and South Carolina posted pictures to Facebook. But we couldn't see it here because of lighting from a neighboring sports field.

Last night was amazing in St.Peters. I had awesome pics at my house, as well as some nice ones in the parking lot at midrivers mall.
Of course camera on phone was best however even to the naked eye it was beautiful and much more vibrant than May at least locally.

Yeah that aurora last night was spectacular. A bit dull with the naked eye, but definitely more vivid through a phone.

I see I have a low of 33* forecast with areas of frost on Wednesday morning. If anyone's been watching does this look like the type of cold air mass that'll come down stronger and maybe give us a freeze by that time. 33 seems awful close this far out cuz usually it gets closer in these types of situations it generally goes colder.🥶🥶🥶🥶

Looks like we could see a band of showers Tuesday AM with the secondary cold front...that's a pretty sharp trof with a strong vort lobe dropping in and some mid-level moisture in tow. Thermo profiles are awfully close to supporting frozen precip too...but warm surface temps would probably favor rain if those showers develop. Just something to watch.
The EC is still bullish with that trof ejection late next week while the GEM/GFS cut it off and delay the timing. That continues to look like a system that could bring a severe storm threat to the Central US.

Larger and cheaper than last year... Now that being said I did have several say those big rains in July hurt some fields But they all have irrigation so dry is good for pumpkins |

I have a clear shot of Venus but I do not see the comet. I'm assuming it is just to the right of Venus. I got a pretty wide view to the right of Venus before trees get in my way so I'm sure it's not that far to the right of it. Can anyone else see it right now???

Look at the mid point between Venus and the star Arcturus. It’s small and dim and not easy to see with the naked eye. This is a 3 second exposure I just grabbed.  |
