Sorry, Im watching tv seeing my town burn and not seeing anyone stopping it. How do you stop it??? There was a plan already in place. Most was for peaceful. Side protesters wanted to cause more problems, doing it. I am wondering where is the national guard. Same as everyone is. I understand. But to blame the the president and such is wrong... I feel for ya, I really do. I knew this crap was going to happen over 100 days ago. But don't put blame on those who sent help there. Blame those who were in charge of placing those to prevent the issue. Meaning those who are below the President and even lower then that..

I blame the president and the governor as well......this should've never been allowed to escalate back in August the way it did. These two single handedly made this the volatile situation it has become by making this a "race" issue. Now with that said I don't have a problem with peaceful protesting.....but if these peaceful protesters wanted "peace" then they would get out of the streets and protest properly on the sidewalks without hindering citizens to do their business uninterrupted. As well as this if they wanted "peace" in this situation they would've left the area when the "thugs" came in to do this kind of crap and allow the police to do their job. So in the end I blame Obama, Nixon, and all protestors.

We shouldn't blame The Pres or the gov? Well sorry but I recall alot of people blamed Bush for Hurricane Katrina. Clair McCaskill "George Bush let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were black.”

of course we must live in a perfect world so it is always the fault of the people that govern us. I blame the weather on the king of the earth, whoever that is. I suggest we impeach him now.
just got word from the policy guy for the king of the earth. He said we screwed up the weather so he won't take the blame for it. typical politician. Sigh

I would probably burn something up too if I was inspired by that group

People didn't blame Katrina on bush. He didn't cause the hurricane lol. Of course conservatives will blame Obama its only natural to them. Blaming this on him is nonsense The few idiots that did the fires and looting are the ones to blame. This is a race problem. It has been building for decades. Let's face it. Blacks are not treated like whites. Its a sad fact.

Of course the rioters are ultimately responsible for their actions. I don't think anyone disputes that. I think the frustration with some politicians is that they were so afraid to appear to be heavy handed in their response last night that they allowed businesses to burn to the ground. Could the National Guard have played a bigger role in sealing off the area once the fires started? I don't know. I am not sure what their tactical and logistical capabilities were last night. Either way, I think the perception largely is that Nixon and others have been trying to shield themselves politically from both sides when what is really needed is strong courageous leadership.

One thing Nixon should have done, is as soon as everything got out of hand, was to change the roll of the Guard, right then. But the one thing I do have an issue on that is, using the military against their own people. What are the protesters going to think about that? I think some will get angered even more. But if it keeps every thing calmed down, I guess it must be done.

Well guess the only thing left now is to find out who gave the stand down order to the Guard did it come from the Governor or did the White House tell the Governor to. Either way Nixon is done in Missouri politically.
