The Joplin ef5 scoured pavement and lifted 100+ pound manhole covers off of streets. It threw firetrucks miles and IIRC sucked a group of walmart employees out of a sealed freezer room. Havent seen anything close to that yet in photos. You’d essentially be looking for well built homes completely swept clean of the foundation.

Kansas radar looks nasty! The TX panhandle is where the tornadic supercells are expected to pop up in the next hour or 2.

this constant heavy rain has become kinda heartbreaking. After 9 years of never having water problems, just as we've poured several thousand into fixing up our house to be able to sell (and move into a bigger one that fits our larger family), we have seepage problems at two different spots in the basement (where the wall and floor meet). I'm just kinda lost mentally over this junk. And no, I don't have like $15,000 to excavate my yard to fix it, so please don't suggest it Lol same. Not even trying to sell but this year has been especially brutal for my basement.

Skied at Park City, UT today. Awesome. Snow falling now - heaven. I follow one of the SLC TV stations on Facebook. They have had some incredible amounts of snow the last 6 weeks or so. The flip side is they've had some avalanches, too They got 6 feet in Alta/Snowbird during the week I was there at the end of January. Never saw anything like it in my life, and probably never will again.

What we really need to kill the bugs is an extended drought going into summer. Its been way too wet for the cold to impact any bugs.

This could be our big storm followed by freezing cold temps for several days that would give us a “complete” A grade winter at least for the immediate metro.

In my opinion if you exceed 20 inches of snow a winter here that is epic. Especially as trands are decreasing each year. Also just bought salt. Last pallet left and 2 bags of magnesium chloride cost me 47 bucks. Talk about inflation 20” used to be the average here though. I think 40”+ would qualify as epic. 30-40” is excellent/very good, 20-30” is good. 15-20” average. 10-15” marginal. 0-9” unacceptable.
