So the flat tire Odyssey is finally over… turns out I ran over a car key and it was imbedded in my tire. I have you beat. I one time ran over a golf ball that was punctured like a Christmas tree ornament, however the sharp end went completely through the ball with an extra inch of rusty edge bleeding through. Just happened to be on the road waiting to be walked/driven over. I fell victim and my car started bouncing like a trampoline up and down on one side. True story, I will post picture of this for proof. Still have it to this day.

Reed Timmer posted this and I thought it was worth sharing. EURO definitely performed well with this storm. This was Sunday evening's run. Performed well meaning the placement? Seems it over-performed with the totals. Euro was generous with amts, placement agree was right on.

We ended up with 3 inches here. Light snow falling and temp is 28. Sorry, on my phone. Are you the one in Silex? If so, that makes sense.

Now my NWS forecast for this afternoon is "heavy snow, 1-3" of accumulation"...what? M1.4" in Brighton Invisible heavy snow. Only certain animals with a trained eye can see it. My Aussie for instance has been barking at it for the past hour. Doesn’t seem to be accumulating much.

I liked your post and it wanted me to gift you. Even tapatalk is wanting to give you love. I got a free VIP upgrade for a month without liking anybody. If you took time to notice from my screenshot, it was the option to gift friv, not to receive one for myself.

The roads are no joke in O'Fallon. Be very careful if driving through O'Fallon/LKSTL/Dardenne. I have a 4x4 and was driving 5mph under speed limit to get from Bryan to K and I completely spun out, almost ending up in a ditch and finding myself in the oncoming traffic lane where (thank God) no cars were coming at the time. Be VERY careful if driving in these parts. The crews seem to be having trouble with the heavy slush on the roads.

I’ll let Beaker do the measuring of this slosh in our neighborhood. I don’t want to touch it lol.

It seems every forecasted winter weather event in STL wants to lay a big dump when it hits middle Missouri and see’s the arch on the horizon.

Flakes have decreased to hamsters. But still very light. Yeah, I've always interpreted huge hamsters falling as heavy snow. I see your assessment however factoring in visibility.

I don't want to point out the elephant in the room but could this have the makings of a very serious day tomorrow mostly for SouthCo people not taking this storm very serious with 1-2 inches forecasted the last few days? Most people will see roads fine in AM and will head to work....Am I off base? Makings of a very serious day? Or that you're off base?

This is one weird storm. Lots of slushy roads. I had no problems with travel. I won't use the word Nuisance but measuring about 1.5 inches of snow with about 6 hours of Heavy Snow seems to fit the bill. Lol you just did. And thank you because it’s quite annoying and it lost its luster of funny a long time ago. I say that with all due respect.

Moderate to near heavy snow now with large flakes. It's all snow. The mid level vorticity is starting to plow through SWMO and head East overnight through Southern MO. This is moving ESE... So over the next 3 hours the Northern movement to the precip should dramatically slow. And a reinforcing band of snow along the dry slot will probably develop between 9-10 in response to ascent between h5-h7. God and the Weather God have finally come to terms...

Since the mixing started the temp dropped from 34.7F to 33.5F. That's in 23 mins. I hope that's the end of the warm layer. The snow is slowly picking up steam but it's still like 65/35 rain/snow I am baffled by this storm. In O’Fallon, we changed to all snow I want to say around 2ish and it’s been moderate to heavy since and Friv, a 40 minute drive away due east hasn’t changed over 100% yet. Friv, once you changeover, I really hope you get 3” an hour snow rates lol. On a side note, this snow it’s so sloshy, it compacting makes it almost impossible to measure. Given normal middle of winter temps like it should be, I would have to assume we would be over 4”. As it stands, my best guess would be a little over 2”. Beaker, not sure if you’ve measured yet.

Are we looking at ZR for the rest of the evening thru early AM? When should we expect the changeover to occur?
Roads are getting pretty slick out here.

NWS definitely taking the conservative route right now which is probably the way to go...this system has a lot of potential but also a high bust factor. So if this thing blows up (bigger than planned) an Advisory is already in place, so beefing up the wordking is an easy add, vs. not having anything at all. I guess. Exactly my thoughts...
Advisory in place with disco of mainly cold rain with a possible dusting by Friday.

How far should we expect this clipper to pull to the east? In my world, maybe we’ll lightly brush St Charles county with some of this phthalo blue. But not too much, don’t want to overdo it, just ever so slightly. -Bob Ross I'm rooting for a happy accident. Well played lol
