Looks like a little clip might find it’s way into the metro. Moving fast but ground is cold.

That’s some messy p-types for the SE tomorrow Just happy it's their problem now and not ours. Growing up in Lilburn, GA, these were the 1-2x a year storms we loved to track!

Sister lives in Chattanooga. Looks like they might be in line to get a dose of STL desert air. Her and her family love snow just as much as us so I hope they don’t get dry slotted and wind up with just a dusting.

Snow is finally mixing in. Seeing the same on our side. I mean, both our locations should be in sync by now anyway. Tiny glimpses of hope and then the sky farts on us. Who’s the patron Saint of this sh**? We need a miracle. Or…. Maybe the NWS sees something we don’t. This has the potential for inch/hr rates.

Ok well if that's sarcasm that I'm well acquainted with (wife's 1st language), don't do that. It's childish. LOL, I have no idea what I have done to you. You seem to have it out to for me though. You called me buddy several times tonight, the first time I said buddy back, I'm childish. Whatever Bro. I still enjoy the hell out of this forum. My mistake was reporting real world data. I will go back to keeping to myself. If I interpreted you wrong (like you might have interpreted me wrong), my apologies. It’s late and it’s probably my head not thinking straight. My bad. Don’t go back to keeping to yourself. We’re neighbors not just cause we live close but also as a community. Please accept my sincere apology

For what? I'm actually about to put on pants and walk outside now. Looks like we're all snow buddy. I can confirm that the precip has mostly changed to snow like my buddy. Ok well if that's sarcasm that I'm well acquainted with (wife's 1st language), don't do that. It's childish.

I'm cozy in my office watching my webcams from a TV. Each camera is like a flood light with a HiDef video. It feels like cheating because I don't have to put on a pair of pants and a warm coat to wait for a flake to fall in my glove lol. But it's a great security system to have. I have kids that need to be monitored on a busy village in our neighborhood. Congrats. For what? I'm actually about to put on pants and walk outside now. Looks like we're all snow buddy.

It's been mixing in for the past couple hours. You just might have not noticed. I have a visual that's different than a naked eye view walking outside. I was hoping for a quicker transition when I saw those first few flakes. But it happened when we were under a nice yellow band hours ago. We've held steady ever since and all we need is one more heavy band to slide through our neck of the woods to transition IMO. It's no push back, it's just a different point of view. Cheers. Sorry, I am not spending all my time out doors. I will go outside every now and then and report my observations if I find them worthy. If a flake or two mixed in without my noticing, I apologize. I'm in Twin Chimneys. No difference in elevation. We are right across from each other. We seem to be on the same page. So then why the push back of my reporting? You responded to my observation 30+ minutes after. I have not made any false observations. Looks like we're finally about to changeover.

Where abouts is you? I'm at K and N. Just went outside again and it is still mostly liquid with a few flakes mixed in. You must be a a higher elevation than me if you have switched over to all snow. I'm in Twin Chimneys. No difference in elevation. We are right across from each other.

I never mentioned a switchover to all snow. Still mostly rain with flakes mixed in. When you mentioned 34 and all rain, I said you need to look harder. We need one more solid band to transition. I have a built in night owl security system that detects all the flakes falling. We aren't even close to a full transition. Waiting for that mustard to hit.

This is yet another example of a learning experience for us to realize when temperature borderline. Assuming they'll just change over faster than the model say or whatever is always seem to turn out AS COMPLETE BULL****. HOW IN THE F*** IS IT STILL RAINING WHEN THE SO CALLED WARM LAYER IS UNDER 1C??? Relax man. Where we live, it's always borderline and it sucks. Barely any of this makes sense to me but I do trust the NWS. You're so close. It's coming... (nobody follow that up with a quote from The Office). Come to my house for next go-around. We'll relax, have a warm meal, have a few drinks and enjoy the evening without having to worry so much.

Elijah Craig SIB. Busting out the Weller 12 when Friv confirms it's all snow on his end. I can confirm its snow here. Well if your 3500 feet above me I'm sure you would be getting smacked with "paint ball level snow rockets But no I'm singing in the hypothermic rain
I'm just rooting for you, that's all. The reason I can see the flakes mixed with 98% rain is because I have 4K Night Owl cameras that can observe a stink bug from across the street.

Seeing a report of flakes in Jerseyville. Getting closer Edit: Now Alton. Radar looks phenomenal. NWS upped totals to 4-8" IMBY...surprised they didn't go with a warning. You're sitting pretty my friend. Aren't you still under a WWA though?

Im going to wake up in the morning and hope to be pleasantly supprised. I am under the weather and have no energy. I will talk to you guys in the morning with hopefully a winter wonderland Sounds like covid. You must be feeling horrible to go to sleep now. Get better... You will wake up to 7" of brick and 3" of powder I will say that theres a ton of viruses going around that aren’t covid. Our family got plagued with the seasonal flu (even after getting our flu vaccine). Many are also getting the stomach flu, nasty colds… It’s like a wildfire of sickness out there. The cold/flu isles are all depleted. I’m sure cough drops are selling for $5 a pop on eBay.

For STL, NWS new graphic says 2-4, however zone forecast is still 3-5. Weird That’s because they just updated the zone forecast at 5:22pm

WE WON!! WE WON!!! WE WON!!!! o:-) what does this say? It’s too blurry on my phone. .75 qpf on the first graphic. The 2nd is what I believe it equates to. Move the decimal one digit over. Of course temps and precip type can alter the simple math.

WE WON!! WE WON!!! WE WON!!!! o:-) Wow! Hard to read the snow numbers in the purple but based on qpf (and the obvious color graphic) I’m assuming that’s 7.7? Time for me to visit the eye doc.
