12z euro certainly trending weaker/southeast.
This is very informative for the next few months.

[br No, it looks more like we won’t be sitting in the warm sector all winter from hard cutters. The upper level features are too far separated on this system to read too much into it. A decent deformation zone gets going. No shear city this year.

Some impressive euro ensemble runs showing up for STL.
Some showing the deformation zone swiping the area.

The Mping reports from Western MO and eastern KS say drizzle but the radar sure has a snowy look to it.

you misunderstand me. I mean unbelievable, as in no chance in holy hell it's going to happen. My bad, read it as snarky. Completely agree it is wrong. Also think KC to Kirksville has extreme bust potential

The Mping reports from Western MO and eastern KS say drizzle but the radar sure has a snowy look to it. My buddy talked to his daughter who lives in KC about 4 pm and said they had sleet there.

Nws forecast for thursday night says lambert to hv partly cloudy with lows of 28. Iirc, the record low for november 1 is 26. I believe it may be the same for halloween but of course, that does not seem to be a factor attm with forecasted lows in the mid 30s. But for halloween night into friday morning we could be close.

NAM is further south and a little more expansive with the snow shield Thursday morning. I think most of us see some flakes flying which is more than we could even ask for on Halloween.
KC looks to be in a pretty good spot for this.

Got about a half inch up here on grass and my deck. The winter weather advisory for tonight got posted. Trace to 2 inches. hoping it's closer to a trace, I don't have my snow tires on yet.
