Just had the dog out, and you're right. Calm. Winds decoupled quick- would think most areas will see good frost overnight

With the lack of wind and perfect cooling conditions I bet many see it dip below 32 tonight.

Woke to heavy frost covering everything here at Bennett Springs this morning. Got kind of chilly. Furnace in the travel trailer quit working Thursday night. Luckily it has an electric fireplace that kept it comfortably cool last night. Just threw an extra blanket on the bed!

Luckily it has an electric fireplace that kept it comfortably cool last night. Just threw an extra blanket on the bed! Did you catch/keep anything? I didn't come down this trip to catch and keep. I still have several in the freezer. It was nice to just get away.I caught a few Friday after it quit raining and the sun came out. I also caught about a dozen today. They had the Holland Fishing Derby this weekend. I didn't come down here for that, but if I catch a tagged fish then it would be a bonus! After all the rain the other night, the stream was a little murky.

Why does the 'not secure' come up in the address bar on this site. I can't seem to work around it.

On a more majestic note, take a look at the big storm over the Great Lakes. I count 3 meso vortex lows within the big parent low, and look at the sawblade appearance on the outer edges coming down into northern MO.

Take this with a grain of salt, but looking way into the future both the EPS/GEFS have a strong signal for a very amplified pattern around day 8 with the deterministic runs showing southerly flow out of the Gulf and respectable moisture out in front of the big shortwave. May have to keep an eye on this in the coming days for strong storms in the middle of the country.
