Another load of wood chips this morning. Will unload it in an hour or so. Harvested cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, beets, zuchini, cucumbers, russet, red, yukon potatoes, pulled all the lettuce but a few for seeds then pulled all the roots out and proceeded to get rows ready for another round. Push mowed several bag fulls of grass clippings and our daughter finished off with 5-6 bag fulls. Laid newspaper down, sprayed it with the hose and threw the grass clippings down. Wasn't too bad as long as we took breaks in the shade and drank lots of water. I noticed some beautiful t-storm tops off to my south. I figured that can't be good for me, 7 miles west of De Soto. Looking at radar at the moment seems to confirm my thoughts. Maybe overnight.

SPC latest outlook holds onto the slight risk into the metro… which is nice

Would also think they will pull back the slight risk to the metro tomorrow.

Here we go. Some small cells starting to pop up near Mexico and Bowling Green Missouri...
Guess we will see what happens.

Quick question about the Twitterverse. I keep getting a message saying to log on to continue. I have cleared browsing data. Has Twitter changed the rules where you have to have an account to view past someone's 10 tweets?

I personally think the heavy rain potential is there overnight into early Friday. Wouldn't be surprised to see flash flood warnings coming right down the 70 corridor.

The HRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR seems a bit north to me. idk. thinking things may come down south a bit. Corfidi vectors definitely support a SE slide with time across MO, but most of the short-range models track the MCS nearly due east across the N counties. Guess we'll see...

Pretty good coverage over western and central Missouri. Now if it will just hold together.

If this stuff continues to split with one area staying north and one staying south and completely misses me. I'm going to be so mad! COME ON

All I seen was some wet raindrop spots on the back deck. Was looking forward to a good rain. My forecast shows a chance of rain before 1pm. The RAP is spitting out .5" for me by tomorrow and the HRRRRRR shows .05". Hmmmmmm

Another lackluster performance by the rain last night. The Davis on the roof in North St. Pete reports a measly .06"

I went to turn the wheelbarrow upright this morning and seen it partially full of water. Unless that was mostly dew, I got more rain than I whined about earlier. The 24hr rainfall total doesn't support that though.

Woke up to see a flood warning for SPI...all is right with the world, lol Did get a quick downpour early in the morning and a little soaker a couple hours ago but it didn't amount to much.
Plenty of clearing across MO ahead of the cold front...would think there will be development later today with a severe threat.

Best chance for severe weather looks to be east of here, but still could see a few supercells around here

Deadly heat in the GFS' extended time periods Day 10-16, but GEM doesn't seem to agree.

Soundings look pretty rough around here today though, so might be tough to get anything This front is mostly just a wind shift so that's not ideal, but there's ample instability developing and modest shear so any storms that can get going later today have a chance to become strong. Pretty lackluster setup overall though...par for the course

This new GFS seems to be a bit dramatic with just about everything - heat, cold, overdoing precip, etc., especially in the mid to long range.
