FINALLY!! Getting some decent rain. Came with 3 pretty close lightning strikes that scared us out of a sound sleep.
Gonna' be an interesting night if this keeps up for a while

Listening to the scanner it's only been raining for 1½ hours and there's already flooding at Ohlmes Road west of Mid Rivers in St. Peters we go from drought to flood that fast. Probably because the dry ground can't absorb this much water this fast.

Radar showing some massive amounts of rain out in ofallon to Troy mo area of over ten inches. Likely not accurate as radar has overestimated my total by 25 percent but still very impressive.

A couple of those lightening flashes or bolts couldn't tell with so much heavy rain were unreal. The thunder came near instantly. Looks like another cell is blowing up and dragging itself further South than what would otherwise happen.

Oh yeah... I'm back in bed with the dog and the misses and I can hear the training thunder picking up again.
Radar shows high echo tops blowing up along highway 15 moving SE.
Looks like another wall of water about to push through.

Well over 6" of rain here now. My rain Guage had 2.1" in the last hour alone.
Radar estimates 7"+ total might be a little high. But it's fairly close

Anything you see on Radarscope as far as totals should be cut at least in half. It seems to double it Everytime at least.
