I had Covid beginning in mid July. Took about 3 weeks to shake it. Head full of gunk (an official medical term) and the worst sore throat I've ever had.
Feel better soon, guys.

Sorry you guys have come down with that nasty virus. We're just starting to come out of hiding but will still be careful. Too old to come down with that stuff.
Get better soon.

Hope you both recover fully...... Much better to catch a buzz vs. catching a bug.

Pretty sure I caught the cooties from the croud at the Tech N9ne show Sunday... Definitely caught a buzz there I was talking to a guy at the Turnpike show last week and he said he was from Brighton. I asked him if he was the weather man. He had no idea what i was talking about.

Pretty sure I caught the cooties from the croud at the Tech N9ne show Sunday... Definitely caught a buzz there sounds like alcohol was involved? lol Glad you're on the upswing, and 99 hang in there. Doesn't matter if it's covid or a virus, the treatment is the same - plenty of rest and clear liquids. I don't take covid tests, except to establish a negative reading to intermingle; so I have never tested positive, although I suspect I had it, especially around New Years. I was on point for a major software deployment that I had to work through with 103.8 temperature. It was a very stressful time for me. My employer wants us to get MongoDB and Cloud certifications (computer stuff) this year, so the brain fog part has played a role in my studies for sure. This latest strain going around appears to be a long lasting headache producing inconvenience. My colleagues who had it over the summer, were not even able to work from home due to the severity of the symptoms for a few days. 52 years ago, I lost my spleen - ruptured in a fall. I was 7 at the time. The spleen is a lymph node basically, so at my age, I hoped that the rest of my body has taken over some of its functionality, and I could skirt by without any significant affects. Appears so in hindsight, but that was definitely a topic of my thoughts during the pandemic. The medical community does not consider missing spleen as immunocompromised, so I'm sure my thoughts and concerns were unfounded.

In weather, system early next week appears to me to be more of a garden variety scattered storms day at this time. While the WPC has us in a marginal risk for excessive rain, it appears to me anyway, that this is the kind of system where there could be some with brief torrential downpours in spots, and for the most part, we are not talking about inches and inches of rain at this time. The Euro does paint a good soaker on Labor day, but that's so far out, I would characterize the medium range as mostly dry, with no extremes in temperature. By now, I guess Dave Murray released his Fall forecast. I haven't seen it. Guessing it's fairly unremarkable since there's no commentary on the matter in here. I do like the fact that much of the southwest drought has or is being eroded, but it would be nice to see this trend continue.

Would agree, Beaker. Widespread significant rainfall isn't looking likely for the Sun/Mon timeframe. Looks like more of a scattered diurnally-driven setup to me too.
Also looks like some nice early-fall like weather is on tap later in the week as a sizable chunk of CAN airmass moves in.

I'm not well known, lol Well, at least not in his circles I guess... but you are tops here! I hope everyone gets better soon. Im not sure how I have avoided it, but I am now pretty much the ONLY person in my family and exrended family not to have ever tested positive for the vid. I have tested 1000 times, but nothing. Maybe I had it, maybe I didnt. Who knows. But for you in the group who are dealing with it now... good luck!

Some healthy storms developing out to the west along the S flank of the MCV up near DVN. Looks like a pretty active afternoon across the area...

CAMs aren't picking up on the coverage and intensity of storms well at all...the 3km NAM doesn't have anything around here at all.

Pretty strong storm driving from High Ridge to Gravois Bluffs. Lots of cloud to ground lightning and winds I'd guestimate in the 30 to 40 mph range. Pouring.
