One of the quietest Atlantic tropical seasons to this point. In a La Nina year, don't think anybody saw that coming. But we're getting into peak season and like BRTN said it appears the tropics are going to come to life soon.

GFS brings in the blow torches for Friday and Saturday. Triple digits. Goodness. Kind of seems like the GFS has displayed a warm bias lately in the medium/long range.

The humidity has been turned back on full force. It feels weird outside. Humid, not too hot, and the clouds are messy.

Unfortunately the NW flow that was forecasted is going to give way to the SE flow with active tropics. That will likely hold off any tastes of fall for an extended time, egh.

Would be nice if the storms west of Sedalia moved this way and got here before they lost their diurnal heating.

Rest of the week still looks decent, with a warm up beginning this weekend. Definitely a warmer pattern than what was being advertised in earlier runs though. The drop in humidity will be substantial after today's sauna at least.

Planted 4 acres of sunflowers at the farm this year, for this week’s dove opening. Sure won’t be much migration with these temps. Well, I did put in 9 food plots for the deer this year, maybe the weather will cooperate by then, still another month away. GFS brings in the blow torches for Friday and Saturday. Triple digits. Goodness.

Very little rain in the last several days here 7 miles west of De Soto. Drove through torrential rain and wind with the warned storm around 1pm on Hwy V heading out of De Soto. Had nothing back at the house at 5pm. We sure could use a decent shower/thundershower. I can hear the thunder from Southern Jeffco.

I hope that doesn’t happen The GFS showed a hurricane hitting southern Texas for 5 plus days …. After I made a post about the storm it disappeared lol …. I hope this isn’t a trend with the GFS for winter storms lol

Major league swing and miss last night up this way...the western flank of that MCS just evaporated as it approached.
Guess I'll keep watering. This pattern is getting very old!
