Not a darn flake in Ballwin. Yup. Winter is definitely here. Geez...I was hoping west of St Louis and out by 99 would have got something. It sure does sound like the NWS morning disco is upping the ante for the Monday night system.

I didn’t check radar before bed and much to my surprise it’s Christmas morning and snow snow snow! Festus got some! I bet it’s 2-3 in on our truck bed over in the driveway! I’m blown away!

The little engine that could! Talk about over-performing! Snow was in the forecast SE of metro....maybe even up to an inch near the Kaskaskia River..which was the reference line I used on air yesterday morning... but this is more than I expected. Very limited moisture, no low level center... but good jet and a small, compact vort max that was barely visible on satellite yesterday AM at 1AM as I was forecasting. 9 out of 10 times, this doesnt happen! It is pretty to watch.

2-3inches here in Barnhart. Roads are pretty clear but everything else is completely covered.

It's pouring snow now over here in Salem, IL. Easily over an inch now and headed towards 2 shortly at this rate. Certainly not going to be here what it was to my west, but still absolutely beautiful for this early in the season! I'm hoping for you guys to the west of the metro that saw barely a flake get in on the action Monday night if that comes to fruition.

Looks like about 4" did it for us 'eyeballing' it. Pretty fluffy snow too!

'Long Range' HRRR did an excellent job of sniffing this one out, as most of the other models had to come around to it, once it was fully analyzed. It's beefy amounts of yesterday as well as the RAP performed to or even exceeded expectations.

Just measured 4.9 and it’s still snowing….5 inches in November is a miracle after the last few years

5.5-6” at our house. No snow board and I wasn’t wading too far in a robe and house slippers. 😂

Around 5” here on the farm in Ste. Gen. Unreal! We were closing in on 3” at the house in Perryville when I left the house. Enjoy it, probably a 1 in 30 year event considering time of year and everything else. I guess I got the “few flakes” for opening morning that I requested the other day haha.

At these two points. EXPECIALLY the first one it was some of the heaviest snow I've ever seen. Then a little while later: I can't believe I get to put 5.5-6" in the books for today. Like what

The kicker is that models look pretty sad about Monday, almost like yeah, about that... Wrong system. Last night was your storm, next one is gonna be a bust! Can't have your cake and eat it too sometimes. But hey while this might not be 'historical', it is somewhat unprecedented for mid November.

Im a bit confused. Nws has 1 to 3 with locally higher in the band along and north of 70, but I dont see any models showing hardly anything for the monday night system. What am I missing?

Need to circle Veterans Day as a big snowmaker day.
Seriously, I’ve spent 10 days, hours per day, on systems that didn’t produce half of what just came down. Ridiculous.

Nice "surprise" storm down south...must be nice, lol
The last "surprise" snowfall we had around here was probably 10+ years ago.

I am so happy for you all south east, you guys deserve this after all these years of misses down south. I am going to mow the leaves last time today just in case we get snow Tuesday, but I am really not sure what NWS is seeing as all models I see show very minimal snow tuesday.
